Bahamas Express
Casinos Austria Maritime is pleased to announce its partnership with Bahamas Entertainment Management Ltd., to operate 27 slot machines onboard the Bahamas Express, a fast-ferry service operating between Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Freeport, Grand Bahama Island. The vessel, Pinar del Rio, is owned primarily by the Spanish group Balearia and its local partner, the Capo Group.
Fares start at $49 per person each way, based on a round trip purchase. The ship will make the 76-mile trip daily; schedules vary by season, in about four hours. The ferry has a capacity of 450 passengers. Amenities include cargo service, an eatery/bar, duty-free shop and audiovisual equipment. Bahamas Express offers two types of seating areas: Economy Class and First Class. Passengers who reserve First Class accommodations will enjoy more tranquility, space and privacy.
